The Capitol switchboard, where you can call members of Congress is surprisingly well staffed and efficient! You can call to register your opinion about anything! I called Kyrsten Sinema, Joe Manchin III and Susan Collins and it
didn’t change the vote on the filibuster necessary to pass voting rights legislation. Republicans I hear applauded loudly. But I made my voice heard. Even if they’re just
tallying Yes or No opinions, why not be counted? From now on it’s true that “it’s not(just) who votes but who counts the votes” but also as Biden said, whether they count your vote at all. Number: 202-224-3121 ….There it is!

All You Need to Vote in Your State
A White Tiger in the Himalayas? Don’t I mean Snow Leopard? Well these days some things are just not right. This was a compelling artwork from a Ram Dass(RIP) newsletter. But do keep track of your mail-in ballot.

Dear Friends, September and November we may be caught in a second wave of Covid-19 and it’s not safe to vote in person. Also it’s high time we had voting day be a holiday. Also: Immunity = Mutiny!
The Economist finally said our electoral college district is outmoded and favors the more doctrinaire Republicans(most of the moderate ones have long left the party)!
For primaries and the November 3rd presidential election. All votes matter but November 3rd couldn’t be more crucial.
Let’s do it soon before Trump figures out we are doing this! Update: By now it is painfully evident he already figured it out and is doing everything to stop it. So by now I hope you have gotten your primary ballots and I think it might be wise to drop it off at a drop box, if your town has one, for ballots. With mask and soc-dis
Update: More on this from Skimm daily email newsletter:
“With July 4th coming up, it's a good time to take stock of our voting rights. If you haven't had your primary yet and aren't comfortable voting in person: here's how to request an absentee ballot. If you've experienced voter suppression or intimidation, you can report it to the DOJ or your local election office. You can also call these hotlines: 1-866-OUR-VOTE (English) Update 8-8-20: I am calling this!!! or 1-888-VE-Y-VOTA (Spanish). And learn more about your rights here. Our democracy is stronger when we all can participate. Happy (almost) Fourth.”
